Riya is quite a petite little girl and weighs about 9kg. Has always been on the 50 percentile curve. However I'm little concerned that she is not eating enough as she is not really putting on any weight.

Here is her daily food plan

7:00 - 1 weetabix with full fat milk plus 150ml beaker of milk
10.30 - sometimes half a slice of toast, bit of fruit
13:00 - small bowl of pasta dish (chicken, carbonara, vegetable etc) plus 100ml of water and 1 small fromaige frais
15:00 - 100ml of beaker of milk
18:00 - small bowl of dinner - ristotto, potato and veg, cheese or ham sandwich (1 slice), plus 100ml of water and small dessert.
19:00 - 200ml of milk

Re Snacks - I've tried giving her organix crisps, quavers, baby biscuits etc but she's not that interested in them (except when we are out of the house)

What do your LO eat on a typical day ?

I'm a bit concerned about how little Alice eats at the moment. She's always been quite a big girl and is showing no signs of slowing down her weight gain, but she eats very little solids. At breakfast she barely eats anything, she throws it around and 'paints' with it. She'll maybe eat a few rice krispies or some egg. Lunch is her biggest meal ,but still she'll eat maybe a quarter of a sandwich and some fruit. At dinner she'll have about 10 pieces of pasta. Throughout the day I offer raisins, bread sticks, fruit or cheese, and she'll eat some of those too. It really isn't much and she's still very reliant on milk. I suppose all you can do is keep offering.

Breakfast is our biggest meal. G will eat an adult portion of cereal (45g) or porridge plus a portion of fruit and sometimes a ricecake or half a piece of toast or the end of my brekkie!

Lunch he has often has approx 75-100% of 1 slice of toast, maybe a bit of fruit or cucumber.

Dinner a small portion of whatever we are having - yesterday was fairly typical he had a out half a small chicken breast and about 5 pieces of bite size veg from the curry & a few spoonful of rice. Some yoghurt. Usually 100-150g of Greek yog.

Snacks - he usually has 1 big snack examples include handful (mine) raisins, half a croissant, banana, organix oaty bar, cake

sometimes he'll have a 2nd small snack - e.g.s couple of adult breadsticks, 3-4 baby flavoured rice cakes, plum,

Should add that G is small - was on about 2nd perC entile 6 weeks ago; he seems yo have suddenly shot up in height though since then.

Adam is now on the 50th centile (23lb 2oz last week), until weaning he was around the 35th (though he was between the 50th and 75th at birth - he lost weight in the first week and his weight gain followed the line from the lower weight). I have days of thinking he doesn't eat enough, but since he's doing well I have to presume he is. I don't know where he is in terms of height, but as he is slim, I think he's taller than he's heavy, if that makes sense.

He has reduced the amount he eats quite a lot in the last few months - now he will have, on a typical day:

breakfast - 1/2 a Weetabix with a little milk (just enough to moisten but keeping it firm enough to pick up as he won't use a spoon), a banana, some more fresh or dried fruit

lunch - most of a sandwich (1 slice of bread) usually spread with creme fraiche or butter and something like cheese, chicken, ham, Marmite or nut butter, or a couple of my home-made drop scones, spread with nut butter; usually some fruit again, sometimes a chunk of cheese

dinner - really really varies depending on what it is. he'd eat the equivalent of 1/2-1 chicken breast, or a quarter of a medium-size quiche (home-made) or 2 fish fingers. perhaps a couple of potato wedges or half a jacket potato (though he has gone off potatoes lately), and a couple of cherry tomatoes. dinner is very variable, though, some days he'll pick and have very little. he used to have yogurt every night with fruit, but not always now.

snacks - in our house, 1 snack would constitute: a few raisins/dried cranberries/prunes, or a ricecake with Marmite, or a Humzinger fruit stick, or 3-4 Organix corn snacks, or a couple of breadsticks, or a Plum spelt biscuit. Some days he has no snacks, but usually he'll have one or two

he also has full-fat cow milk twice a day, morning and night - 10oz-12oz altogether.

I have no idea if he is eating too much or not enough but this is a typical food routine.

8am - bowl of porridge and a cup of milk

10-11am - cup of homemade smoothies (made with chard, spinach, stawberries, bananas, blueberries etc)

1pm - Small portion of whatever i have for lunch. Sandwich or pasta etc. And yoghurt. Cup of water or milk.

5pm - Small portion of whatever we have for dinner. Rice/mashed potato/chicken/mushrooms/avocado etc. Cup of water or milk.

6:45pm - Bottle of formula for 1 year olds..... Still trying to cut this one out!

Snacks - I bought some wheat sticks for 12 month olds which he LOVES. Pieces of fuit or veg. Cheese. Toast. He snacks on anything i can find in the house.

He has always been in the 90th percentile. He weighs around 27lb!! Although hasnt really gained anything in the last month..
