I have a electric heating system that costs alot, in fact this year, we've managed to pay a debt of from two winters ago!

Just looking for a general idea....

I have heating that runs on the mains electric, its a 2 bed house, and i currently pay £130 a month all year.

A lot we have solar water heaters that heat some of the hot water. But our gas bill is £200 plus plus we have coal fires in the playroom and conservatory. It's a very big house with annex though. X

Too bloody much!

This is the third property OH and I have lived in together, the first house - other two were flats. This is also the first electrically heated one and it is costing us a FORTUNE. I stress about it all the time as am terrified of being hit with a bill in Jan.

We pay £50 per month but think we need to double that to stop getting bills in where we owe them money.

Xx

hey we live in a 4 bed townhouse and ours is a fixed rate of £99 a month.

we pay about 86€ in our rent which is for heating. we pay it all year so we kind of save in the summer months. if we go over our landlord tells us, we haven't been told yet so I assume we pay enough and then have some saved for the coming year.

I have storage heaters but the whole house s electric. I used to pay 130 a month but they realised that was too much and dropped me to 99. However they fucked up my payments so until feb I'm paying 237 a month electric!!

We pay £35 a month but it is a tiny first floor flat so obviously will be less than a detached house. We're with NPower.

for our 3 bed house we pay 90 a month for gas in winter and about 10 in summer

:flower:

About £8 a week (wood/coal) for four months of the year only, We only have a log burner in sitting room/dining room and put up with the cold in the rest of the house  - seriously couldnt afford gas heating!

We also only use electric blankets for the beds, We dont have any damp etc in the house and i dont feel particularly cold. (its a 2 bed semi)

My gran heats a 4 bed town house and its £60 a week / £240 a month x

Ours is between £15 and £25 a week depending on how cold it is. During the summer it doesn't really cost anything because we have the heating turned off from about may to the start of september

Between 100 and 120 a month just on gas. Electric is a further 50 (max) a month but all of our heating is just on the gas. We hardly use the heating either as it is so expensive :(

In the winter I put on between £10 and £15 a week in gas. The gas just heats up the water for a bath (boy has one or two a week, but he also baths at his Dad and showers at swimming) and does the central heating.

Electric and Gas are about £90 a month in winter, 50/50 split. We have a cold house, end of terrace and an uninsulated porch but we keep doors shut, use thermal curtains and wear plenty of layers so doing well! OH, and we inherited the previous tenants pre pay meters so if we switched could get it cheaper!

I love my gas prepayment meter! It makes me so much more conscientious about what I'm spending.

Wow that's a lot. We have oil central heating here, no gas where we live! But luckily we run off the same oil tank as the inlaws, and they pay for it! So I've no idea. In my last two bed flat I paid 22 a month gas and electric?!

I second this. Although it is slightly more expensive it brings me a lot of peace of mind to know I'm not gonna get an £800 bill in january like we did in 2010 :haha:

Mine is high in the winder, could be up to £300 to £700 gas bill in 4 months. Its stupid. And thats a cheap rate apparently as I dont pay a gas company we go by meter readings and a big tank, then my cooker and shower all run off that to. My electric is also dear! £25 a week sometime! everyone's complaining here about prices.

Ours was around £30 a month but we've had our heating on a lot more lately so waiting to hear what the next bill will be. We only get a bill every 3 months

We pay £55 a month direct debit for gas and electric for a 3 bed house and we're in credit!
Our house is a new build house and keeps amazingly warm!!

We pay £125 direct debit a month, but we are in credit.
