£500 to feed 70 people and thats from Marks & Spencer, around here an independant caterer is jst as much, yet they dont have as much choice to offer

£1750 for canapes and a hot fork buffet for 80 people. But thats in a castle wedding venue....sorry if that scared you a bit! I wish i could cater my self, but we're not allowed

OH's aunt is catering for us at cost price as our gift as she's a caterer by trade. We're having a reeeeeeeeally big buffet at around £10 per head.

at the hotel we are holding it at its from £9-£15 pp for a fork buffet but we are gunna do a cold buffet and there all diff price's perfood

The venue we're looking at does an evening buffet for £8ph - we're inviting 70 guests to the reception but only going to cater for 50 people as half the guests will have eaten a 3 course meal with us at the ceremony so hopefully they won't be too hungry! So it'll work out about £400 + VAT

This is going to sound like quite a lot; roughly £2000. BUT...that includes buffet for up to 140 people & hire of the main room for the whole day.

Our's was in a hotel and £55 per head for the meal (120 people) and £15 per head for evening buffet (220 people)! Almost 10000 on food for one day eeeeeeeek. But my dh was deploying to afgan just after we got married so we decided to have a much bigger wedding then first planned, plus we both have hugh families plus his military friends!
