how much milk should my son be having at 6 weeks

my son is 6 weeks old up to now he has been bf. I am now struggling with this and have introduced formula. The hospital have told me he should be having 70mils every 4 hours he has just had 140 mils and is still hungry he has just had an op on his stomach and i am worried about giving him too much and making him ill

Hiya hun, I wouldnt like to comment as he has had an operation, I would speak to the hospital again.

agree with allthingspink if he has had an op speak to the hospital, you need their support.
