How much movement should you be feeling at 35 weeks? Do you have to feel a certain amount a day , I havent been feeling as much as I used to but I've been doing the kick count and I get 10 kicks through 1 hour and a half to 2 hours.... Should I be worried???

Your fine :)

They tell me 10 kicks a hour and i'm 39 weeks.

I remember having those days i barely felt a thing then one day she wouldn't stop kicking me!

As long as your feeling kicks is good!

I believe it was 10 kicks a day :/ Aslong as you feel lo move about throughout the day it's fine!!

haha its 10 /hr. :) it's on my discharge form from the hospitial i got yesterday. :)

I just noticed we have the same due date. My little piggy moves all the time, so I usually don't kick count. Doctors say 10 times in an hour, but I have also read that they sleep for hour long increments...? Sorry I can't be of much help.

my midwife and hospital tell me it's ten every twelve hours so I believe them.

You may not feel as many now cos he/she has less room to move.. I only feel the odd few hard jabs an hour..may be cos I'm ill at the moment as well tho :/

Sounds fine hun xx

My LO moves the same amount but in a different way cos she has less room to get a charge behind her kicks! As long as I feel her move regularly, I don't worry. This kick counting thing doesn't work for me as madam has her own erratic timetable so I've learned not to expect a routine from her.

Its not necessarily counting kicks as baby is running out of space so their movements will be changing. I think you are supposed to be counting any movement so, kicks, rolling, turning, pushing body parts out etc all count as movements.

Oh yes, I meant that she doesn't have a routine. So she might be giving me belly quakes between 9pm-11pm one day but the next day she'll be quiet as a mouse for that 2 hour slot and won't move a jot. I can't pick fixed times to check on her as they suggest because she has no routine so i cant rely on feeling 10 movements in a given hour. Instead I just monitor whether she's moved a sufficient amount in 4-5 hour slots for me not to worry.

My midwife says 10 movements between breakfast and dinner, but I have also read 10 movements in 2 hours. I don't think there are universal guidelines and if there once were, many medical professionals are steering away from them because each baby is different and has a unique pattern.

I think your baby should be moving regularly. I was told "movement" is more than just "kicks", because as the baby gets bigger they have less room to move around and the movements are not as obvious. Rolls, swishes, etc. all count. I would just take note of your baby's routine and note if he or she deviates from it.

Thank you so much for the advice and information ladies :) i have been feeling kicks regulary today so everything looks fine :)
Goodluck with your pregnancys
