How much would you pay someone to do a bag of your ironing?

Hi All, I'm curently 23 weeks pregnant, I do have a p/t job working 3 full days a week as an administrator, and my husband works full time. We have recently started having money problem due to sharing a private rented house with a family member, but as she's been out of work we have had to substitute her share of the rent, c/tax, bills etc leaving us struggling.
I would like to find a way of earning more money to help us out but no one will want to employ a pregnant lady so was thinking of posting flyers through letter boxes on a few local streets promoting an ironing service, sounds lame but I can't think of much else I could do really.
So am just looking for ideas of how much I could charge? How much would you pay someone to do a bag of your ironing? By bag I'm thinking a bin liners worth.

Any advice or suggestions of job ideas would be greatly appreciated

It might be worth looking at or phoning dry cleaning places in your area and seeing what they charge so you can under cut them!!!

But don't forget you will have to declare the earnings for tax and NI and possibly declare yourself as self employed to the tax man! Unfortunately this income will be classed as additional to your wages so will be taxed on top. The CAB will advise you on this.

Thanks for the reply MrsRH, hopefully I'll earn a bit of extra 'pocket money' from it rather than an amount that would be taxed but I'll seek advice from the CAB regarding how much I have to 'earn' before being taxed. Thanks again x

Hey I normally charge £20 per black bin liner, and as it is only when and if with theladies I deal with it doesn'tclash with my normal money so as I don't earn over £45k I don't need to declare it x
