How organised are YOU?

Not organized at all - we haven't done anything yet to get ready.
However, it is #3 and we have everything we need. We are waiting for the anatomy ultrasound, hopefully we can find out the sex (in 2-3 weeks). After this I will start getting things out, washing, getting the room ready, etc.
The only things we will need to buy are a few disposables (have cloth diapers for after the first week or two), and a baby wrap/carrier. and probably a couple of new nursing bras.

Today came a delivery of clothes using my tesco vouchers doubled up so think we're set for that.

I'll be painting the room next weekend as DD is away with OH to give me some peace. I've bought all the fabric and paint so one weekend blitz should get curtains, cushions, bedding made and wall painted. Hopefully ikea on Mon to get furniture for ikea so after next weekend it should all be done.

Just a few extra bits needed like muslins and steriliser. Prob just get microwave one this time. Actually we have no nappies but will prob use the boots points to get the initial stuff.

We had major stuff like carseat, pushchair etc from dd.

I'm 22 weeks. I went through all the old baby clothes the other day and pretty much all will be given away as itz all too girly to reuse.

I'm 16 weeks with my first and I have bought absolutely nothing!! Not even 1 baby grow or outfit!
I did have a look around mothercare the other day but there was so much it was all too overwhelming! I think I'll wait until the 20 week scan to buy any big things like pram, cot etc.

Now I've read this thread I'm beginning to think maybe I should start buying, I don't even know where to begin!

All Her Bed Room Furniture Is IN The Living Room in The box. Her Room Still Has The Guest Furniture IN it. Smh. Don't have any bottles either.

Hi mummy! Great thread!
Ive got the nursery finished. Painted, carpet cleaned, crib, lazy boy, and dresser. We have bassinet(2), 2 car seats, 2 boppy pillows, 10 white onesies, diapers, wipes, asperator, shampoo, liquid baby powder, receiving blankets, bedding for crib, and more. Not nearly enough though. Im just thankful to have the nursery done. That is the hard part. Now all thats left is to shop!! I find out lo gender on the 13th. So I will be able to do more shopping then. And I will plan a few shopping days with my mom before my shower. My mom is a shopoholic!

I think all I need some dye to dye the old muslins and then pick up Some socks now. Think we have clothes now to get by.

Picked up fleece snow suit today which should be fine for in carseat use (as some snow suits are too padded and then shouldn't be worn under straps)

Next weekend all set for nursery blitz :)

What are muslins? Ive seen several people talk about that?

I am a very organized person and am going insane right now! I'm NO where near as organized as I'd like to be. We're moving so the place is a mess.

I just want everything sorted and put away in preparation for baby but it's going to be a while until we're where I want us to be, in the organization sense.

Heavy gauze like fabric, usually used for swaddling. There's also great for summer. Babies love their texture.
Aden & Anais have great sets.

This thread made me start obsessing about which infant carrier to buy. Just ordered a baby K'Tan, and some cheap nursing bras from Walmart. :happydance: Next step: ultrasound :baby:

Yeah a gauze type fabric. DD lived with them (and as a result became her comforter) because she was a sicky baby so were used all the time for Wiping her up and catching sick! We also used to cover her face when out and trying to sleep. She wouldn't sleep if anything happened around and needed firm rocking and dummy (see baby on the block 5 s' s) so muzzys were used over face to remove stimuli (completely breathable btw)
Traditionally they were also often used as nappies for new born. So they are frequently seen as white packs and yellow packs. Yellow being for bottom end, white being for top end.
