how should my boobs feel?

ok sounds a bit odd i know lol the last cpl days my boobs have felt almost completely normal and hardly sore at all even in the mornings when they usually feel really firm and sore. the feel soft like they r empty, is this right? ive only been bf for just over 2 weeks. im really worrying im not making enough milk. ill admit my diets been pretty bad as ive just had no appetite whatsoever. i make myself have breakfast and dinner but if i have anything during the day i just grab a yogurt or something. im worrying my milks gonna dry up they feed really often. they do have a long sleep during the day and they have a bottle in the middle of the night so ive got atleast a full hours sleep, could it be that im not feeding during the night? plz help i dont want to stop bf any time soon if i can help it, i havent even got my 1 month milestone thing for my signature yet

My boobs never feel hard unless he's gone his 9 hour stretch through the night. It's prob because your established at feeding now. Make sure you eat well during the day though, your body needs to be healthy, and drink lots of fluids. The more you feed them the more you will produce. If they are still having wet and dirty nappies then it's prob fine.

im drink loads of water, ive got a thing about ice atm so im having loadsa pint glasses filled with water and ice lol so do ur boobs only go hard when they havent fed for a long time, oooh i c, this would b coz of the milk builing up as they havent been emptied for a long time. im such a dumbass i never even thought of that. so if they are feeding really often the milk doesnt fill up so much. i think im starting to get it lol im useless

Yeah they only go hard and sore when they're engorged, mine have calmed down a lot, they just get swollen inbetween feeds now (I can only tell because I get the double boob effect over my bra!). He's feeding every 2 hours at the moment (used to be every 4) and it's only when he sleeps for 4 hours that they start to really swell and leak.

oh thank god i was starting to panic. i feel really silly now lol doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out they fill up when not being emptied frequently lol

dont feel silly, I didnt know at first. I used to worry about it all the time, but James is getting a heffer now so obviously they are working.

U say u have been eating alot of ice lately... craving ice could be a sign of anemia (low iron in ur blood) Try uping the iron levels in ur food (e.g redmeat, cereals etc.)....

You must look after yourself honey. Grabbing a yoghurt isnt enough when you're BFing just one baby. You need something like an extra 500/600 calories when you BF one. You need to grab a banana which has energy in it. Eat porridge. Flapjacks if you feel like something sweet. Your milk wont dry up but you but you do need the energy or your become poorly easier and that's not going to help your boobie monsters.

I remember having zero appetite too. My hubby found I liked cheese toasties so that was it - they just kept coming!!

ive made much more of an effort today. i actually had lunch big plate of beans on toast (i couldnt eat it all tho lol) gonna have dinner now and oh bought me a cream cake for desert lol
