How soon after c section would you have a tattoo??

Before i start id just like to say im not gonna get one just yet, but i was just wondering when anyone had one done after a c section.
We had a bad start to the pregnancy and i never thought wed get this far, to be able to hold my little boy is amazing and as a symbol of that im gonna have his footprint and name, time of birth and date tattood on the top of my foot. An was just wondering how longs best to leave it.
I also had to have a blood transfusion from losing alot of blood from a tear from a failed forceps attempt.

I think you have to wait a year after a blood transfusion anyway but I might be wrong, someone may know better.
I would just get one when I felt ready and had the money x

I would consult a tattoo artist at a reputable place. Be completely honest.

I agree with consulting a reputable artist, and Id also err on the side of caution of waiting until later rather than sooner to get it done so you can be fully healed from your surgery, and then so the ink heals well also.

I had a c section on 7th feb and will be getting a tattoo in July. So it will be 5 months after for me, I would have got it done much sooner but the tattooist I want has a huge waiting list!

But I had a straightforward c section with no blood transfusion or anything.

I had Freya's foot print tattooed on top of my foot 3 months after c section. All was fine and I didn't even think it would be a problem but I'd check due to blood transfusion. x
