How soon to try after hysteroscopy?

Hi,

I've had miscarriages and am desperate to get back to trying. I'm due to have a hysteroscopy soon, and it's going to fall on day 10 of my cycle. I'm likely to ovulate around day 14, do you think it's safe to TTC with this cycle?

Obviously if anything shows during the hysteroscopy that the doctors need to take further, that might impede it, but I'm hoping it will be all clear. I've had ultrasounds on my uterus while having IVF and they've never showed any problems.

I'll be trying with home insemination with a donor this time, so would be doing artificial insemination a day or two after hysteroscopy. I really don't want to wait another month, does anyone know of any reason that I should wait?

Hi, I had a hysteroscopy last year nothing showed up so the nurse said to wait a few days and we should be fine to carry on with TTC. You will know if it feels ok.

I would wait until you've had it done and know your results before making a decision. And check with the doctor before you leave but if nothing shows up I cant see why you should have to wait.

It will depend on how you are feeling after the fact. I bled heavily for a week after i had it done and the gas got trapped up in my shoulder so i reeeeaaalllyy didn't feel like BD'ing! Lol ! You can do whatever you are comfortable with. There is no need to wait if you want to try this cycle GL

Thanks Molly, I hope I don't bleed, that'll put a stop to me being able to do it this month, I think. Good to know that it won't stop me otherwise so fx for no bleeding!
