how to get a knot out a fine chain necklace?

exactly as the title says, I have a necklace with a tiny knot in it and can't get it out, I have tried a needle and can't get it to budge. any advice ?

Oh, a needle was the best suggestion I have! Would putting a bit of olive oil on help?

This always works for me.

Me too, try rubbing it in little circles between your thumb and forefinger. It seems to help loosen the knot enough so you can straighten it out.
