hey ladies!

im nesting and just dug out all of Harry's bottles and steriliser and realised what a mess they are all in! lots of lime scale (we live/lived in a really hard water area!)

how do i get them sparking clean for Lyla?? thanks!

oh..i tried the dishwasher...it didnt shift any of it! agggghhhh!

Only tip I have is dont let your OH wash them if you want them clean :)

boil them in water and vinegar. It works pretty well at removing the limescale :)

Soak them in white vinegar, then put them through the dishwasher again to get rid of any residue!

Mine come up cleaner if I soak them in sterilising fluid.

I think lemon juice is good for removing limescale - citric acid as someone else mentioned!

thanks all...got some white vinigar today so will give that ago! need to get a new bottle brush though!

I had loads of limescale on my bottles, and in the end I changed my bottle brush, and with the first wash they looked brand new again. I had one of these brushes from Morrisons:

It was pretty flimsy, and I realised there were no bristles at the end of the brush, so the bottom of the bottles weren't getting cleaned properly. This is the brush I have now:
