I was interested in finding a good way to preserve my son (who is three now) and my new baby's ultrasound pictures because over time they begin to lose their quality. I found a great link (see below) which gives different tips. If you are interested of course....

I think I am going to buy the laminated (no heat) pouches which I know wal mart sells AND I'm going to scan them into my computer as well to keep electronic copies.

Just thought I'd share with you all. :hugs:

I have taken photos and printed them out on normal paper - its the next best thing for just incase :) x

I copied mine and printed them out, then put them in frames with the originals behind the copy. I had no idea they could deteriorate.

i have thought about this too. i just put mine in a photo book so hopefully they stay good in there.i was also thinking once baby comes and we have newborn pix i might order a hard back book that you send your pics in over the internet and they put them all in a photo book printed on the pages. you can write things and decorate the pages the way you want before the book is made. mixbook.com is where i did my last one for OH and it came out nice

I scanned mine at boots and had them printed out! They are now in a frame!

I have just done a photobook for H's first year photos. They look great and I can't imagine they would deteriorate.

I am in UK and used Boots/photobox. If you sign up and are in Boots parenting club you get really regular special offers - I made a 100 page hard-backed book (usual price £50) for £14.99 + p&p.

You can arrange your photos however you want, put comments etc. It took a while to put together but totally worthwhile. I am already looking forward to doing my first year book for this bubs!

ya the books are a bit pricey sometimes but if you find them when there having deals there not bad. i think its all worth the time and money to be able to keep your pix all in one area and there not going to fade or fall out. its nice that you can order more than 1 so if you want to make one for your LO to give to them when they get older they have memories too.

Yeah my one from Helena is sure looking yellow compared to this babes. :(

my sons (now 8) and my daughters (now 5 1/2) are still in great condition they are glued into their baby books.. it says on the scans not to put under plastic or do not insert under a plastic sheet in photo album.

mine dont say anything on them other than all my info. i thought they would stay good that way i guess not...good thing im planning on making that book where they will be printed on to the pages
