I'm going crazy with this. My toddler has been twiddling for a few months, but for the last few weeks he actually grabs and twists my other nipple, it hurts a lot and also it's incredibly annoying, specially during night time (we co-sleep)...he is getting so used to this that lately he takes my boob out when I'm carrying him on the ergo (even when he's not even nursing!). If I hold his hand he tries to slide his hand through mine so he can keep twiddling and if I absolutely don't let him, he starts to cry hysterically, even in his sleep :O is there anything I can do? Will it go away? Help!! :dohh:

My toddler did that for a long time.. once he stopped
Feeding at 17 months he carried on doing it all the time! Quite awkward in public! Then when I got to the end of my pregnancy it used to feel very irratating.. Now iv had the baby iv had to stop him as my boobs are at the stage of still being uncomfortably full. He used to make a fuss but doesn't now.. Maybe if u just keep gently taking his hand away he ll eventually grow out of it xx

I stopped feeding my DS almost 2 years ago (at 16 month old). He still does this!

I just kept pushing her hand away, eventually she stopped protesting but its really an instinctive thing for them as when she is really tired she will still move her hand up and Ill keep pushing it away!

what about giving LO a stuffed toy to hold when nursing? we tried and and it worked some of the time.

Thank you all! I'll try giving him a toy! I hope it works!!

missk :O that scared me! lol
