Please help, I have no idea at all and googles results just confuse me.
How do I set up my babys cot? Like.. what is needed for it? How many sheets, any special way to put them on, any blankets, is a mattress protector necessary etc.

Also, how do I dress my baby appropriately for sleep so he is warm enough but not overheating? He'll born during Autumn here.. I always thought a full body jumpsuit, a wrap and a blanket (that would be very tightly tucked in) would keep him warm enough. But I'm not sure at all.

I'm freaking out, and I still have 3 months to go. /:

have a look at gro bags hun the original ones come with a thermometer that tells you what thickness gro bag to put on for each temprature and with what clothes we use them they are a godsend :) if you do go with these you will only need to get some fitted sheets for mattress if yoiu dont go with gro bags you need fitted sheets and some blankets preferably cellular blankets they sort of have wholes in them iykwim lol

I have a chart somewhere that I cut out of a magazine that has the room temperature of the nursery (room thermometers are dirt cheap for the ones that just have the coloured strip on 'em) and what tog gro-bag (gawd I hate that name - sounds like you're sticking the baby in a bag of compost like some tomatoes) and what clothes to use... they vary but the one I cut out and kept because it seemed vaguely useful as a guide (excuse bad typing and don't take it as gospel - I'd only kept it as a rough guideline cos I was worrying about the same):

24-27 C - 1 tog sleep bag - cotton bodysuit
21-22 C - 2.5 tog - cotton bodysuit
16-20 C - 2.5 tog - vvelvet sleepsuit or cotton sleepsuit and bodysuit
16 -20 C - 3 tog - cotton sleepsuit or a bodysuit

Don't know how good that is but I'd kept it to give me a rough guideline. Can add in - below 16 degrees - I get stroppy and demand the heating on anyway (hate being cold!)

Thank you so much!! I'm going to look in to gro bags now :) haha it definitely does have a horrible name O_O; but they sound like they could be a big help! xx
