How will you vote in the referendum?

I'm really torn on how to vote as I am a strong supporter of Proportional Representation, but I think that AV is a bit of a rubbish system and they'd be better going with the list system like we have in Scotland. But if the no vote wins then there's unlikely to ever be the chance for PR again. I don't know what to do lol.

i'm still undecided but I'm leaning towards no. It doesnt matter anyway, tories or libdems won't get into number 10 for atleast 1 or 2 generations :) Tories especially have blown their 2nd chance.

I'm also unsure, although I will definitely decide and I will definitely vote! One of the things that makes it difficult for me is that it doesn't seem as relevant to me (in Northern Ireland.) In the Westminster elections the vast majority of the seats over here are clear cut and the MP's mostly get in by a country mile. So if the system changed the end result would still be the same for Northern Ireland MP's, there would still be the same number of unionist/ nationalist/ other MP's no matter what way you cut it.

There is also no campaigning at all regards the referendum over here- is that the case on the mainland too?

I'm not sure, for the same reason as the OP, I don't like AV but PR won't get through unless AV does. I'll probably vote for the change, but I don't think it'll get through anyway.

I voted no here but actually my plan wasn't an option - I'm going to spoil my vote. I agree with PR and fear voting no en masse will mean it will get shelved for the torseeable future. I disagree with AV as it is rubbish and I also object to the illegal constituency boundary changes that are in the bill. Spoilt votes are counted and are a way to say none of the options are good enough so that's what I'm going to do.

I didn't realise they counted the spoiled votes. I actually think that the referendum won't work as the turnout won't be high enough.

Yes me too, thank goodness for the House of Lords this time! I think there is court action being taken against the government for the incorporation of the boundary changes too. They really have no idea what they are doing!

I don't think there is any difference in count between intentionally spoilt votes and clearly accidental ones but they have to be counted for the overall turnout and it is a recognised form of protest. I am not sure whether or not they count in the turnout, or rather whether there has to be 40% turnout or 40% useable votes.

Excuse the ignorance but does "spoil your vote" mean just not bother voting?.
