As the title really, my hpt have just about gone negative but got positive opks would the opk still pick up old pregnancy hormones if hpt is neg?

I miscarried around 12 days ago

Oh really I've read they can pick up hcg as the hormones are very similar?

You're correct an opk can go positive if pregnant but a hpt won't pick up an lh surge.
However it took Til I was about 5 weeks pregnant for opks to get positive, so id have thought it's possible you may actually be about to ovulate rather than it detecting any remaining hcg xx

Oooh thanks maybe start bd just to make sure I'm covered this month then! Just surprised as only cd14 from when bleeding started with mc & I usually have long cycles with very late ovulation.

Bodies are funny things, I would deff BD Ito be on safe side if you are trying again straight away. Best of luck! 😊 x

Yes they can pick up pregnancy hormone. I heard this and tried it the cycle I got pregnant. Was shocked to see a positive OPK on CD13, very shortly followed by positive HPT. I would say that you are prob ovulating 😊

I had a positive OPK when I was 4 weeks pregnant. I think it was a CVS brand where you read the line to be darker then the test line. Had a miscarriage shortly after though. So got new equipment to track my cycle.

Does anyone know if the digital pink clear blue OPKs show positives when pregnant?

Also, if anyone knows if the test strip is same as others? I called customer service and they said the digitals are different and to use the happy face and don't read the lines. Cant imagine the technology is that different. I thought it picks up color saturation of both lines and then determines the result.

Their customer service told me they were engineers so couldn't tell me how it works... Ive been obsessed about researching and understanding everything since my miscarriage. Sorry if I sound crazy.
