HSG and Clomid coverage info

My insurance doesn't cover the HSG. I'm getting one Tuesday as well. I have to pay out of pocket. It sucks! It should be covered everywhere! Makes me so mad.

I know! Frustrating! I'm not getting mine if it ends up being as much as some of you ladies said. Im in PA...so we have the same insurance as VA probably.

I'm in NH and NH insurance sucks when it comes to fertility! I wish it was required everywhere to be covered. It just sucks so much when we want babies so badly and try everything we can and we have to pay for stuff just to try and others can just fall pregnant for free with no problems! How unfair is that. Fertility really needs to be covered by all insurances. What the heck do we pay it for?!

Mine is costing me $600 to the hospital where I'm having it done and $300 to my FS just to read the results! Ridiculous!

Holy cow! I'd be trying to read the results myself! I have to call the md office Monday morning and see what is going on with mine. I don't know what to do. Alot of people conceive shortly after they have one done. But on the same note-I know I'm starting Clomid in about 3 weeks so I don't know if I should pay for it out of pocket or not. I feel the same way and everyone I know around me is getting pregnant besides me! I keep thinking positive and telling myself I'm going to get pregnant in April when I start the Clomid because my mine and my husband's birthday are in the beginning of January...would be a good birthday gift to have a baby then!

I just saw a fertility specialist and I have to do all the tests. I have UHC and it appears that everything should be covered. I am in IL and infertility is covered here. I had to pay only $8 for clomid last 3 cycles. I took CLomid 50/100/150mg respectively and no results. Now my new doctor wants to give me 150mg again and monitor me weekly to see what is happening. We're starting in April. All the best to all of you

HSG is 100% covered. I just hung up the phone with the doctor's office. So, that good. Hope it goes ok....
