Hsg anyone have bleeding or spotting before?

Did they still do the test? I'm on cd14 and bleeding heavy still. My test is scheduled forvwednesday. I'm praying it stops before then. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this ?

Hi there,

I've had a really wierd cycle this time round, I normally have a ridiculously heavy period that lasts about a week. This time I've had a really light one (nothing more than a panty liner) but I'm on day 19 and still bleeding. I'm due for an HSG but apparently abnormal bleeding is a contraindication so they wont do it until I've seen my consultant next week.

I would definitely mention it to them and see what they say. Good luck xx

I cancel up until 2pm on Tuesday so thatsc positive but it doesn't seem to be slowing at all.
Apparently there are spots the week after so hopefully one week will work. I can understand why they cant due to potential for infection

Good luck and hope it stops before Tuesday, I'm off to see my specialist tomorrow as I'm still bleeding so hopefully she'll have some answers

Thanks again. I'm still bleeding. Also got a call they may change the site(hospital) of my test. So now I wait. I hate waiting. Mostly because we held off fo so long before getting medical assistance

I was spotting and they still did it. I think as long as the flow is light, it isn't a problem. The procedure was very easy for me too, it will be over before you know it. Good luck!

Thanks Lisa. I had to reschedule. Still bleeding not spotting yet and it's day21. I ave rescheduled to next Wednesday. If still bleeding I see dr on thursday
