HSG tomorrow, what to expect?

No one I know has ever had problems TTC, and there is no one I can ask regarding this procedure. I am really nervous, and to add to it, my husbands been called off on business and wont even be there when I am done, so if I get bad news I am facing it alone.

So far all the tests that have come back have been normal, though we havent gotten his sperm count back yet.

But the paperwork is telling me that I need pain killers, and I am worried about that pain. How bad is it?

And Im worried that maybe theres a blockage and problems, and then going back to work and home alone and facing that too, so could anyone weight in and share there experience or anything?

There are way too many horror stories online. and from personal experience, it's not bad at all. it's just a little uncomfortable (like the pap smear) and some pressure. but again, it's different for everyone. I did take 2 tylenols ~1 hour before the procedure and had a little bit of spotting afterward but nothing bad.

hopefully everything looks clear and no blockage. and if there's blockage, the dye might helped pushed through and unblock it. At least after the procedure, you will know what's going on in there~!
