Hi all, I posted in another thread but I wasn't sure if it was the right place to put it, so I'm going to drop it here in hopes of a wider audience to share opinions! Thanks!
Hi all! I'm new here and I just thought I'd share my story and ask some questions to you ladies who may have had similar experiences--
My husband and I have been TTC for about 8 months now, and have been being treated for infertility since January '11.
I stopped BC after 10 years in October '10, had two "normal" cycles (don't know if I ovulated or not), then one 42 day cycle with a BFN and Provera to induce AF, followed by starting Clomid treatments in January '11. I was diagnosed with PCOS the same month I began Clomid and was told I do not ovulate on my own. I successfully O'd on all rounds of Clomid (which were follwed by HCG injections and Prometrium) but never became pregnant until my chemical on round 3 (150mg).
3 rounds of Clomid and one chemical pregnancy later, (1st cycle 50mg, 2nd cycle 100mg, and 3rd cycle 150mg= chemical pregnancy), and having an HSG last Monday (tubes were clear) I have ovulated on my own only 4 days after the HSG (according to CBE Digital
tests and some O pains that I always felt after receiving the HCG injections).
My question to you guys is has anyone actually ever O'ed on their own after the last round of Clomid and right after an HSG and actually gotten pregnant? I am due to see an infertility specialist should I not be pregnant this month, for injections because I can no longer be on Clomid due to visual disturbances. I am hoping this is my month because those specialists (while worth it) sure are expensive!!
