He has very low sperm morphology at 2% his sperm count is about 50% dr says thats ok not bad but ok.
My results are all normal. I have done some research and I found that IUI will probably not work for us, so is IVF are only hope?
xx

Hey sweetie! My DH only has 4% morphology, we were told it's possible to conceive naturally however it's like trying to throw a 6 with a weighted dice it can happen but it will be harder. We have been TTC 3 yrs for baby number 1 with no sniff of a BFP so I find it hard to believe we will conceive without help. We are now about to start IVF as they are sure fertilisation is a problem because of morphology. Otherwise we are both perfect even his count, volume and mobility are great. ICSI is the best option for poor sperm.
Wishing you all the best. X

Hello NatalieP & Please ... I didn't want to read and run. I just wanted to wish you lots of :dust:

DH's SA results weren't the greatest for us either. Our progress is pretty slow. I have a sonohysterography scheduled next week (March 16th) and he has a Urologist appointment on April 2nd. We won't know anything for awhile. gggggrrrrrrr ... :brat:

Here's more :dust: for all of us.

My DB had 1% morph, 2million and low motility, I conceived in Nov.....So it CAN happen. I mc'd tho, so we had another test done and its gone upto 8million, 2%morph and 26% motility. Hes on clomid so hoping for more improvement BUT im so impatient that if im not pregnant in a few months we are gonna pay for IVF with ICSI.

Hopefully when we wanna try for #2 his count will be in normal range cos iv turned him into a health frek ;)

Nikki1304: Did you conceive naturally? You have given me soooo much hope! Thank you!

Yes it was natural :happydance:

It has made me feel more hopeful that we could fall again (hopefully we will).

In the meantime you can try and improve OH sperm count! Whilst doing that hopefully you'll get that :bfp: unexpectedly.

Good luck hun. Hope our :bfp: 's are just around the corner!!!

I'm just down the road from you in Chessington :hugs:

After washing the amount of sperm that is left is considerably less so although your DH has 50% of a 'normal' count it would be severely depleted. The good thing about IVF is that so long as there are sperm they can pick the best one and off you go!

We came under Kingston PCT where the wait was a year - i know Surrey funding is due for a renewal next month but that depending where you go the waiting lists vary - you might get an option (Woking Nuffied didn't have too long a wait?) if you did get referred for IVF.

We had IVF with 2 million total count, 90% abnormal forms and we were lucky enough to get preggers first time but unfortunately had a m/c - second time it appears to be sticking. Don't see IVF as your only hope as we still ttc for 3.5 years depsite the odds whilst we were waiting for treatment... i have no doubt you will get there and if you don't want to wait, The Lister in Chelsea do an egg share programme which means 'free ivf' and you would only need to pay for the ICSI part. They are one of the top 3 in the country with excellent results :hugs: Good luck and i have no doubt you will get there hun xx

nikki you have given me hope, We have just recived DFs SA result and not great 1 million per ml, Morph 1% and 32% motile
