Is anyone else hungry literally alllll the time? I'm really struggling with it and this is my third pregnancy but never felt like this with my first two. I've already gained 10lbs :-( at only 16 almost 17 weeks which is way too much. Im trying so hard to curb it today but the hunger is just gnawing away at my stomach. Any tips on what you ladies are doing to keep it at bay are most welcome! I've come off the back of terrible morning sickness (hypermesis) and since the sickness has stopped, the hunger has started!! Please tell me I'm not the only one??!! :)

I'm the same but i could care less about weight gain. I'm normally small to begin with but pregnancy just makes me balloon. I just want a chubby healthy baby :) the weight comes off anyway ... I just eat whenever I'm hungry and "try" to make good choices although 9/10 times I fail at it lol. No advice really just that I understand xx

Me! I feel like I've all done this pregnancy is stuff my face non-stop because the hunger never goes away. My midwife told me I actually have to eat even more because I haven't gained any weight somehow.

Try drinking more water/fluid, and maybe eating smaller meals/snacks throughout the day instead of a few big meals. Protein-rich foods like chicken and eggs are great. You could also look up low calorie foods that you can snack on guilt-free. :flower:

I really don't eat more than before I was pregnant. And I have lost over twenty pounds. The doctors commented on it yesterday. Down four more from last month. But, when it is time to eat. It. Is. Time. To. Eat. I went shopping with my mom a few weeks ago and when she suggested we stop at one more store before lunch I bit her head off and then cried in the food court because I wanted salad bar and there wasn't any. Food is becoming an obsession. Crazy cravings, and the immediacy of needing to eat is really inconvenient. I'm lucky in that I work in a restaurant and my chef has small kids. He keeps me in snacks whenever I want. Still no weight gain though.

I gave up with the hunger issue the first time around. I turned into a big preggo balloon and it all fell off. I ended up lighter than I was before being pregnant. Might have something to do with breastfeeding or chasing your baby. Haha.

I imagine the same will happen this time. If you feel guilty, plenty of time to exercise it off after. :)

The best way to keep your hunger satisgied is eating your carbs with your saturated fats and protein. Don't just eat one type of food.

But, at a bit over 15 weeks, I had gained 12 lbs which was 6 lbs over the max. Now at 21 weeks I have gained 17.6 lbs all together....and I have no idea where it went cause I look exactly the same!! I'll attach pics of me between 15 and 21 weeks and there is no difference when accorsing to the numbers I should have packed on much more than just baby...
My point is that I don't think these weight gain guidelines are accurate for everyone.
So unless you see yourself getting visibly chunkier by a good deal I totally would not worry about the hunger. I think it is more to tell you your baby needs certain nutrients. Eat a variety of healthy, nutrition dense foods and all will be well. :)

Yep hungry all the bloody time! It's like I eat something and start to feel hungry again instantly LOL! I suffered from MS up until 15 weeks so it's nice to be able to eat now without being sick!

September at my booking in I was about 60kg now I'm 70kg!

Exactly this! I'm not too concerned about weight gain as with my son it came off pretty quickly which could have been down to breastfeeding as well. Its 10pm and OH has gone out to get me bbq wings :dohh:

I can't stop eating and Christmas isn't helping. A visual of a 16lb gain. I was a target member at Slimming world before falling pregnant but happy i can't see much difference x

We have gained somewhat similar numbers without visible changes :)
I'd not even mind a few extra. Maybe some will stick past pregnancy ^^.

I wish I felt more hungry. I was hungry between nausea in the first trimester and gained about 8 or 9 lbs (I was underweight so I was trying to gain). Now, I feel like it's a struggle to eat sometimes because I'm not hungry. I'm aiming for a pound per week; I've gained one pound in the past month (since week 12).

I still feel hungry all the time. For me, I feel like it's never going to go away! The only tip I can give is keep some small snacks around like peanuts or almonds, whichever appeals to you more and munch on those when you feel hungry. It's light and healthy, not to mention full of things we need to be eating for our little ones. It's so easy to get side tracked by junk food so I try my hardest to keep it out of the house.
