Hunter wellies - buckle?

Quick question for hunter wearers - is the buckle on the tall original wellies supposed to actually do up? or is it there just for aesthetics?

mine are done up as i think it looks better but it doesnt need to be its just an add on. x

They are to pull the top of the boot slightly more snug around your calf. So they can be as loose or snug as you want. There isn't much in them though.

you might be talking about the hunter adjustable wellies.

the classic ones just have it for decoration. If you go on their website you can tell the diff between the two by their pics
