So the army gave my husband one of those flu vaccines you inhale up the nose the other day (he had no choice, it's mandatory) and he said he tried not to sniff it fully up and blow it out when the medics weren't looking, but obviously that didn't work because that night he started coming down with a runny nose & cough (he always gets a bit sick after a flu vaccine).

I give him kudos for trying to get the vaccine out of his nose so that I wouldn't get sick. But alas... I have a full blown cold. What can I take for it? I know tylenol is ok, but these cold symptoms are kicking my a$$ along with my pregnancy symptoms. I feel like death. I want nothing more than to drink some theraflu and take some robitussen (which I haven't because I don't know what's safe) :(

There is no cure for the common cold anyway and unfortunately only the tylenol is a recommended remedy. My advice would be to make yourself a nice hot herbal drink (fruit tea or something), use steam vapour to clear the congestion and tuck yourself up under some nice covers with a few chocolate treats. You will feel much better in a couple of days!
I think the flu vaccine is important though. You should get it yourself when pregnant. Proper flu is a serious illness unlike a common cold. Your immunity is weakened when pregnant and having full blown flu would be seriously not nice and potentially harmful.

It is common to get colds during pregnancy. Try warm milk with honey followed by a nap. Avoid medications if possible. Herbal teas are good, but some e.g. raspberry tea are not recommended during prenancy.
