Husband wont budge on name choice :-(

Mietta has a gorgeous meaning too "sweet little one" awhhh X

Been having a nosey at this thread as also like S names and love Safia! What about Sian? Or ive heard some spell theirs Sianna/Cian X

I know a little girl called Sienne so it's practically the same name but without the a at the end.

I keep finding threads with unusual names and I have them in my family lol. Sienna is nice but I have heard it a lot in the US. My sisters name is Athena, and I'm not to keen on it (may have something to do with our relationship, so I'm biased). I think Mietta is really cute, sweet and different.

Athena Sierra? (Athena Sienna or Sienna Athena sounds a little clashy). I like Sienna Harper but Athena is also beautiful.

I haven't heard of many Siennas.... The most common name around where I live is "Sophia"....EVERYONE has a daughter named Sophia... But sienna Harper sounds nice...I like Athena also..haven't heard that one either..

I do like the name Sienna, I just think my problem is it's not unusual like my daughter's name, and I really don't want to wind up with her being a Sienna of many at school, purely because I was always known as "little Amy" at school as all the other zillions of Amy's were taller than me. Always wound me up lol. Tried the compromise of name so it's similar tried Serena, Serena etc but it just gets met with "I like Sienna" grrrr.

Lol, that's true, at least it's a nice name he's stuck his guns too, hehe you wouldn't say he has good taste though if you heard suggestions he had for boys names - one example is "Biff" sounds even better with our surname "Smith" haha. Xx

Biff Smith

i do have to agree that Mienna sounds like a disease :/

just tell him you dont like sienna lol

My DD is Sienna Rose and it really uncommon here which is why I chose it. I know how you feel about liking unusual name I love them!!

OH wants to call our next one Chloe if its a girl and I really don't want to but I chose Sienna so I guess its only fair he choose the next one

The same reason I wanted unique names with my kids. There must have been a billion Amy's when we were young. I did pretty well with DS as his name is Ossian and not met another one since. Erika isn't that common, however, there is another girl in the village called Erica born 2 weeks before us, so I find that highly annoying. Also if at the end of the day me and my OH can't come up with a name I generally get final say as I carried the baby for several months, he did nothing.

As for names I'm into Mika right now or Anastasia. And you don't have to decide right now. My daughter didn't have a name for 3 hours, even now she is called baby over Erika.
