HV made me feel good about BF

Had first visit from HV today.
She asked me if was breastfeeding, and seem suprised when i said i was.
She asked me if was also bottle feeding. Told her ive been trying with expressed milk, but he doesnt like it that much.
She asked if my mum breast fed with me, which she didnt.

She then told me how good i was doing to be breastfeeding, getting him to latch on fine, and managing it all without much help. She gave me a magnet with info about storing milk and a leaflet with BF info on it, but told me i prob wouldnt need them as i seemed to have it all underhand.
The struggle in the first few days was def worth it.
I feel so proud

my hv came today and i was telling her about really wanting to bf Ernie but really struggling with getting him to latch on properly etc, and she was here ages trying to help me with it-and she said if i wanted to she could contact one of the health visitors who specialise in BF and see if she will come and give me some help, which i was really pleased with. She rang me back a couple of hours later to say that the BF-HV is coming to see me in the morning, she is going to come with her so that she can get some more info from her so that it will help her to learn more.

Fingers crossed that with the help of the BF-HV i can finally crack this BF lark-because i can see that Ernie does want to BF and bless him he does try but we just need that little bit of extra help to get it established!!
