Discovered this today - fits very well with my own personal theory that people who take a long time to conceive are much less likely to miscarry than those who are super fertile. It is both encouraging and discouraging - but worth knowing about!

Interesting as I've had both the late term and miscarriage and also conceived both fairly quickly (and had late BFP- at least with the second, probably first too as late test was still faint).

interesting! I am very fertile I guess, I have kids youngest is 4 years old. I had my 1st loss in Sept 2011 there was a gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole, had a d&e when I was suppose to be 11 weeks my body wasnt miscarrying yet. I was waiting for my period and found out in the er I was miscarrying Jan 2012, I was 15 weeks no period had sex around the 10th week. I had 2 periods and got pregnant Mar 2012 baby died at 13.2 weeks in Jun 2012. got test results from my baby, she was normal nothing wrong with her, her little heart just stopped. I have also gotten pregnant from precum 2 times.

I am doing what I can to not get pregnant just yet. I want to give my body time to heal.

That is really interesting. It is like the internal quality control just doesn't work. Maybe that is my problem- I seem to get pregnant quickly, (1-2 cycles) but then they fail. Twice in a row, anyway.

ive been trying for 2 years with no joy an then first fertility treatment worked and we lost her at 8 weeks...i wish the 'gd things come to those who wait" theory was true!
