hi anyone else doing hypnobirth/had a hypnobirth?

I have started practicing my meditation with the CD's at home for half an hr every few days or so.

What else should I be doing? We did the classes but didn't get that much out of them...but we did them.

Thanks!

I'm on my 3rd class and I'm practising listening to birth affirmations daily, practicing rainbow relaxation with my dh reading out a relaxation script 3-4 times a week, and we've practiced the deepening birth companion exercise 2-3 times a week too. Sometimes I try to practice the breathing techniques too mainly in the morning or before I go to sleep, the one for in between surges and the one for when you are actually having surges too, coupled with the imagery of waves rolling in and out.

My hypnobirthing teacher said I can listen to the affirmations whenever as its not hypnotic, so I listen to them on my way to work. But she said the rainbow relaxation is hypnotic so not to listen to that when operating machinery! But I could put it on when going to sleep as it'll still do its job!
Hope that helps xxxx
