Hypnobirthing

I have been seriously been thinking about this method of controlling pain during labor. I have even found a class about it that my hospital offers. Has anyone done this or know anyone who has, and how did it go?

I was recommended hypnobirthing by a few people, and it worked brilliantly for them. My OH are having a hypnobirth in water at a birth centre. We've got the books and CD's and have booked classes x

I really wanted to give birth at a birth center, but they are so expensive here and I'm not the one who pays my bills so it's hard to really be picky. I cannot stand my nurse practitioner who is the one I see most of the time, and i'm sure she's going to have something ignorant to say about me choosing hypnosis, thankfully because it's a class offered most of my doctor's won't feel the same. I see an actual doctor once in a blue moon and they normally just check for a heartbeat. You'll have to share how the water birth was!
