well i was having a huge craving and haven't been very hungry lately and it sounded so yummy... ive read a lot of people say its okay then a lot say no but if im eating it once in a blue moon i dont think there could be any harm?? what do you girls think??

oooo i dont know the answer but smoke salmon and cream
cheese sounds amazing on a cracker :) i dont think its bad
you can have normal salmon in little amounts so whats the
difference between that and smoked?

Id go with teh same rule as Tuna, a little bit once in a while :)

I really wouldn't worry about it. You gotta live right? That's my new motto! lol

I eat salmon at LEAST once a week. It's really wonderful for balancing out those hormones, and is a recommended food for pg ladies :) youre fine, hun!

It because smoked salmon isn't cooked (normal cooked salmon is good for preg ladies). I think once in a while is fine. I had pink lamb last night for our Valentines meal and didn't feel guilty at all. It's only in case it has nasty germs 99% of the time it doesn't so we'll be okay!

The UK say that it is safe to eat but I think America advise against. I've been eating it every week!

My midwife advised that smoked salmon is fine. Its only predatory fish like swordfish and tuna you have to worry about. xxx

Salmon is fine as long as you don't exceed 12oz in a week. I was told that on friday.

Salmon is not a deep sea fish so does not have the high amounts of mercury that Tuna and Swordfish has so it's perfectly safe to eat - not sure on the smoked bit but I wouldn't worry about it!

i asked my mw that too cos i LOVE salmon, smoked is fine :)

I think it's fine in moderation. Each time I've had a baby, the list of "can't haves" just keeps getting longer and longer.

I had smoked salmon on Friday night at a special dinner I was attending, that was the entree served so I ate it lol! I am fine, I'm sure you will be fine.

Remember they are only foods to avoid... so I doubt you will get sick.

Smoked salmon may not be cooked, but it is smoked and that removes the bacteria so it is perfectly safe to eat.

Hi my mum ate smoked salmon once every week whilst she was pregnant with me and I turned out perfectly fine! x
