Ok so the midwife came and weighed Hannah after Mervs mum left. She has gained 4 oz this week. Still not enough for the miserable cow but now she says she is too pale and even though I pointed out all my kids are pale and pastey she has now decided that when I take her to the peads clinic next week she wants her blood tested for heamaglobin levels!!

NEVER BLOOMING HAPPY!! WHAT DO I NEED TO DO!!

wow she sounds as bright as a door nob lol your children are pale as you said and thats genetics not much we can do right ? what dose she want you to put fake tan on here geeeze!!!

I would mention this to your pedi and see what he thinks about it , but if shes eating and growing normal nothing to be worried about

Everyone I tell this too is amazed so why am I being vistimised by the medical proffession? I have to go to the peads app on Weds afternoon and I am going to tell them I want Hannah to be discharged. I can't take any more of this

she isn't easily pleased is she! How come you still see a midwife anyway? Or is that just what your calling the HV? (sorry if that seems dumb qu but was jus wonderin)

At least if you do discuss it with someone up at the hosi they will be able to give a second opinion.

What she's asking goes against common sense. You have a right to question her competency when she is causing such stress for no reason. Can you request another HV?

She is a midwife from the scbu where Hannah was and she won't discharge us. At first it was get H to gain weight consistantly, then it was get H to her birth weight, then the goal posts were moved yet again to, get H to gain more weight each week!!!!

Now I haven't seen my HV since her first visit as we still have this MW breathing down our necks.

Thanks for coming Lisa, I have accepted the combination feeding for now. Just have to hope that her suck becomes strong enough that she take it from me one day. Or I will carry on with 2 bottles a day! C'est la vie
