i dont know what to put coz i dont know what happened shocked/confused! Warning TMI!!

something happened this morning and it has shock me up quite alot

im on clomid 50mg day 2-6
iv only got one fallopian tube aswell due to prev eptopic
iv had 2 months on clomid
my first cycle went fine i had a 28 day cycle, i had a follical tracking scan an they was happy with my follicals and they did a day 21 test which they sed they was happy with aswell.

cycle started on 12th march 2010 so going by a 28day cycle i was due the 9th april but no show this went on till cd41 went hospital they did another test again it was still negative so they gave me norethistrone to bring on my period i took them for 2days they made me ill so had to stop then

cd 46 yestaday dinnertime i got very very bad pains they was awful came home got in bed then bout tea time started slight bleeding so i thort it must be my period

this is were things went bad and there gonna be some TMI just a warning!

well got up this morning went for a wee straight away had a wee and then i felt something looked down and something fell out of me it was bout the size of a 50p or just over it was a peice of flesh looking and very together i really dont know how else to explain it i totally freaked i rang my hospital and they sed cum straight down and to bring it with me
i seen the doc and she says it looks to be a miscarriage and they did another pregnancy test and it sed negative but she sed if it wasnt forming propley thats why i havent been able to get a positive test, is this true???

she did a hcg blood test to check my levels and she has also sent what came out of me to be examied to find out 100% if it was a miscarriage

im shocked and so upset i keep wondering if it was them tablets id taken??
how can it not have shown up on the pregnancy test??
is there any chance it could be something else??

iv got to wait a few days for the results and a nurse will ring me then they will sort out what to do next but she did say she wants me to leave off the clomid for a month till i have a proper period.

has anyone had this happen???? or know what it is???

Big hugs to you lovely, but I have to say I had a really early miscarriage and even then my HCG was giving good strong positives (I was 4+1 when I lost it - only 2 days after the bfp and even then I still got stronger and stronger HCG levels for another week or so) - your body starts producing HCG as soon as it implants until well after it has been expelled so if you are showing negative and your hcg is low I think it was really unlikely it was a MC. Also with your dates you would only be 5-6 weeks and the sac would be TINY - small pea size. It sounds like there must be another explaination. And the reasoning of embryo not forming properly is why no hcg is being formed sounds like rubbish to me - otherwise surely almost noone would get a bfp prior to a mc because that's why you lose - because it's not forming properly.

Its not uncommon for periods to be strange on clomid and tbh it sounds more like a large clot or similar. x

Sometimes when you have really long cycles you can have a ridiculously thick endometrium. Once it starts to shed it is like as thick as skin... Gross, I know, but I have had something a bit similiar... I always worried about being "pregnant" and the test being negative and starting clomid. I pray it wasn't a MC. Your levels would have been high if it had been (or so my doc says).

Hugs! I would tend to agree that it wasn't a MC, but probably just some lining shedding. I've had some pretty gross ones as well, especially when on clomid. I am hoping for good news for you!

I had this happen after my cyst healed itself and started going away. It happened right before my AF started. It weirded me out! Hope its nothing.

Hiya,

I've just finished up my 3rd cycle of Clomid and my AF are not pretty either. Last month I had alot of big pieces of tissue but my doctor told me because Clomid can affect your lining you can have some funky AF's. Not fun for sure!!

Honestly for the clot to be a size of a 50p you would had to have been atleast 8 weeks. Sounds like theres another explination, its not nice what ever it is, i hope you get answers soon

I had a horrible experience after Gonal F and progesterone supplements a couple of months ago that might sound similar? I had a late period, with just a bit of brown spotting and then I had awful pains before passing a piece of fleshy skin, about 3 inches by 3 inches wide. I had it analysed at the clinic. They thought it might be a miscarriage at first but pregnancy blood tests and scans proved that I hadn't been pregnant. I was told it was a decidual cast, which is where the lining of the womb thickens into a skin-like consistency then sheds all at once instead of breaking down as a period and coming out as blood. It's pretty shocking and scary but I think with the hormonal drugs, it happens more often.

I'm not sure if this might be what you have experienced, but thought I'd share anyway.

hello ladies well i was just about to explain what it was and you all told me lol it was not a MC but my lining of the womb just as you all sed and babychristie decribes i am sooooooo relived when i got told hospital was very quick ring me this morning and the nurse was brillent she answered every question i was gonna ask her she sed sorry that i got told it could be a MC they should of known coz id had loads of neg tests but she sed it was my period but practically in one day and she sed to count yestaday and cycle day 1 and take my clomid today as normal so im more of a happy lady but it gave me a fright. god... what us ladies have to go through eh.. lol thank you for everyone that put a reply your all very nice ladies thank you!!! hugs to you all x x

hi onewish, i experienced something very similar to you about 12 years ago, except i got a BFP and 2 days later i had the most awful stomach cramps (nothing like af pains) and when i went to the loo i had the most awful urge to push and thats when it happened to me, it was the size of a small peach and bright red in colour, took it to the hosp and they said it was a complete miscarriage..ie..nothing left behind so no need for medical intervension....they took blood tests every 2 days for a week and my hcg levels gradually lowered....sorry for your loss, dont give up hope i went on to have 3 little girls and ive got pcos and all conceived without clomid or anything x
