I don't know where I belong

Thank you :hugs: I feel good today, a little sore round my bump but all is ok otherwise :flower:

:hugs:thinking of you,its so hard not knowing whats going on.on bed rest myself for bleeding and hoping all is well.

Hi sequeena. I'm so sorry to read you are going through this. Like you say, at least this has been discovered now so they can keep an eye on you. I have everything crossed that all will be ok for you and your baby xxxx

Thinking of you poppet, I hope all goes well today. My mum claims I had no fluid around me (it was 30 years ago, so there may have been some, just not much at all) and I'm just fine!

The fact I was breech and they tried to do an ECV with no fluid is a whole other story :dohh:

Thanks Tulip it's reassuring to hear that (though not the breech bit ).

Just had my SIL ask me for the umpteenth time on facebook when will we find out the sex... so insensitive  I don't care about the sex right now!!

I would have hit the roof and made her feel beyond guilty!

She's only 14 so can't really get angry as she's so excited but I've not had one message from his dad asking how I am or how baby is it's so frustrating

Well I had my scan today and am so happy to say HE has TWO kidneys! My fluid is still low, they reckon my waters went when I had my bleed so am being monitored closely :)

YAY! So they think he's ok and it's just the fluid you need to monitor? Get drinking, missus!! xx

glad to hear he has two kidneys, thats good news:).Hope the fluid levels improve for you-my dd was induced at 39 weeks due to no fluid, couldnt see her on scan at all really-levels were on the low side from 27 weeks (5)but at zero at 39.She is fine, but i appreciate its not the same issue when it happens so early.

Thank you both!

I will probs deliver early unless the fluid somehow increases... will find out more next week when I see my consultant :flower:

wow so relieved to hear HE has 2 kidneys :) thats the best outcome you could have asked for from today. I hope your water manages to replenish a little to give him a bit more room to get practicing his football skills

Congratulations on your son :cloud9: xxx

Happy to hear his kidneys are ok, hope your fluid can replenish a bit hun!
Fx'd the rest of your pregnancy is as stress free as possible xx

Thank you both :D

I am so happy he's a boy!! would have been happy if he was a girl but I get to use my grandpas middle name (Emlyn) and I just know he's had a hand in keeping our baby safe :cloud9:

If they think your membranes have ruptured, it might help to read the RCOG green top guidelines for pPROM before seeing your consultant so you have an idea of how they should be dealing with you. Recommendations are a 10 day course of erythromycin at time of rupture (obviously you won't have had this), regular temperature checks and weekly high vaginal swabs to check for infection.

The guideline is here:

midori thank you for this. I've been looking for more info but nothing much seemed to be coming up.
