I dont understand some terms?

This is gonna sound so silly and despite having had two children and being pregnant with my third, I still don't understand some of the terms and abbreviations on here is there a list anywhere that I can look out without posting and feeling stupid for asking? The hook effect for example, what is that? I'm clueless sorry to be a pain. Thankyou in advance, ladies x

no question is stupid ever on here hun

the hook effect is is where ur hcg is to high to register on reg hpt, so you need to water it down half water half urine and dip the test in to get an accurate answer on the hpt test.
