I got given £1000

My doctor overdosed me 2 years ago, and as a result I was having heart failure and spent 2 weeks in resus.

Thankfully I'm all back to normal. They gave me £1000 to say sorry- so thats £500 off my share of the wedding and £500 towards our honeymoon

Personally though you should have sued or something. Deffinatly deserve more than 1000 dollars imo. Its your life they almost took

what the hell?! That's great that they gave you £1000, but I would have expected more than that for giving your heart failure. I suppose the important thing is you are still here (and hopefully use a different doctor now) to enjoy the money and your wedding...and your honeymoon xx

thats good you got money but i would have bloody went after them for more, i am trying to sue the hospital at the moment as they ended my pregnancy in feb saying it was ectopic and my RE said was impossible as i don't have the tube they said it was in for it to be an ectopic plus i have picture of sac in my womb, they fucked up and pumped me with methotrexate which is a form of chemo, so they could have caused alot of problems alone, so RE said they screwed up so hpefully gives me a leg to stand on, really kills me they killed a normal pregnancy and maybe my health baby which took us 30months to get pregnant with!

its really good the money came in handy and that they admitted thier mistake though.

No, No. I would never sue the NHS they have enough money troubles, and to be fair although ONE doctor made a cock-up they have done more good to me than harm. I didnt sue them, just wanted some wages that I lost back. I got half of it back and I'm happy. More happy to be alive though!!!

guess what rattles my cage more is they wont admite thier mistakes or say sorry, they were really nasty when i was going though it and pushed the methotrexate on me when i didn't want it, by saying "well your son will have a dead mother then" once they gave me it i asked them to check to see if they were right that i would comply and take treatment if they could prove what they were saying but they refused and doctor said "you wouldn't dig up a dead body to check to make sure its heart was still beating would you?"
