I got my DNA results (update- test 1st post)

Right finally got the DNA sorted and done it came back today and it basically says what matchs and what doesnt.. there are some cells apparently that nearly match.. but 5 completely dont.. and it says 0% that hes the father .. this is my ex that has been involved with mason only because i got forced to by his parents and he wanted to see mason even though he knew it was unlikly he was his..

But hes my exs that i was getting engaged to and moving in with but rumors went around after my 12 week scan that he wasnt the guys i was with and he ended it with me at 16 week and basically turned into a horrible drunk mess! and got with another girl the day after! .. but he did ask me what i was having at 20 weeks and i told him but since then hes blocked all contact with me .. iv saw him twice while iv been out now and hes stared at me and blanked me :\.

Has anyone done a home test and its been wrong? because my son looks just like the 1st ex i was on about :\ literally his double blonde hair blue eyes aswell.. and my other ex has mousy brown hair and brown eyes :\ i know not to go on eye colour and hair but i thought if he would have brown eyes if the tests right cause i thought brown was dominant! ..

i used "dna dianostic centre" it was £159 for the test i know the £90 ones are scams but this one i got told was fine

I'm not sure as I didn't do a home DNA test. But don't go on looks, brown eyes or not, it all means nothing when it comes to DNA. It does sound asthough Mason is the 2nd ex's you was going on about, most DNA tests are pretty realible I guess. I went through CSA so I really don't know about home kits, sorry.

is your 1st ex on bc? i remember talkin about it when we were preg n u sayin his parents telling you to go round and u had to put him on bc. hope your ok hunxx

why have you done a home kit and not through the csa hun? they are free and will deffo be accurate.

if you are not 100% sure of the result then go through them or even contact them for advice about who they use and get another test done.

We used the DNA diagnostic centre as well Hon and the results were 100% accurate .... they have a good reputation and are completely reliable

I kno othing about DNA tests but in regards to eye & hair colour please don't assume anything.
Me and OH both have brown eyes and brown hair. Our first DD was ginger (now blonde) with blue eyes and our LO seems to be getting brown eyes and has brown hair.
Eye colour is quite complicated and you have to look at grandparents also so is not a clear indication at all.

I'm a little confused (doesn't take much!) Who is the one you posted a pic of once? There was one that really looked like Mason...is he the one that has been involved but isn't the dad? (according to DNA anyway)

I agree with others, you should go to the CSA and have one done through them xxx

its crazy how dna mixes my lo is mixed raced asain hes whiter than me and has mousey blonde brown hair but he is the spite of his dad x

Yeah thats right what you said Suz.. the pic i posted was of Jay who had this DNA test and has turned out not his dad :\ .. even though he looks like his double..

I cant afford to go through CSA .. i know i dont have to pay but if its how i think it is.. then dont if the test said my ex was the dad dont he have to pay for it? and if he wasnt then no1 does? .. my ex defo cant afford to pay like £400 odd quid for it :\ thats why we didnt do it in first place it was the best option but hes already working his so hard to save up for mason what he missed but now he obviously dont have to ..

But i have been told aswell that i shouldnt go on what he looks like while hes still young because he will soon change loads .. atm i duno what to do tbh

Ill post the copy of the test up to see if it looks genuine to anyone but surly it cant be not real i even rang them up and was talking to them for ages about it all :\

Well its what i thought of from the beginning but no1 believed me including my bf at the time he believed every1 else :\ so he left me at 16week preg and got a new missus :\ .. but the other lad has constantly been talking to me and wanting to see mason regarding if he was his or not and i had no choice cause if he was his dad i woulda feelt bad but hes gutted now im just sad he hasnt got a dad now :\ xx

No1s on birth certificate i didnt put anyone on for reason but yeah my ex jay whos not the dad his mum wouldnt leave me alone constantly having a go at me and stuff :\ xx

Iv done a home one because CSA cost iv been told .. i dont have to pay but the lad does if he was the dad .. and if he wasnt no1 does.. and he really cant afford it and i would never do that to him hes already working loads cause he wanted to save for mason but now he dont have to obviously :\ ..

Im glad someone else has done it i asked about it before i ordered it and i got told by a few its a good one and its 100% right .. but it does say that on the letter and stuff, i rang them and spoke to them for quite a while and they were really nice.. im just abit in shock atm cause my son looks the double of jay and its came out hes not his :\ i just hope its right cause its like baffled me abit

If you go through the CSA put the other guys name on as Masons dad (the one you haven't seen since preg that this DNA said was the dad) so it will be him that has to pay for DNA test if its positive...I think! xx

The other guy doesnt want anything to do with him... and i dont know where he even lives anymore or anything about him so they wont be able to get in touch with him this is why i never got both of them to do the dna i only could get 1 to do it :\ he would also refuse to do the dna because he wont want to pay specially if he knows iv done a previous one :\ xx

I just wanted to send you a big , do you think you would feel better if you had a second test done you know just to make double sure iykwim? I don't know if it's worth asking round but my old doctors used to do DNA tests but i never needed to use them so don't know what the procedure was with it but might be worth looking into?
someone mentioned the looks before and I just wanted to add too, my kids have the same dad yet my dd looks the spitting image of him but my ds doesn't look like him at all.

Do you have his phone number? Or even his old address? If you know anything about him the CSA will try to track him. He is legally obliged to pay you maintenance if he is the father - its not fair that he gets away with it

I only know his name.. i might be able to get his number and someone actually said on facebook if i wana get in touch with him then theyll get his number or theyll go and talk to him about it all.. But atm i dont care anymore he ended it with me and was violent towards me at 16 week preg i coulda lost mason with what happened and last i saw of him he was a druken mess! (we fell out alot and he used to get angry and turn to booze) .. but loads people will say to me its not fair me not giving him a chance but end day i dont think hell care about mason anyway hes got a new gf and i dont even know if hes living with her/expecting a baby/engaged or anything with her .. and i dont want to make my life really complicated by starting to get him involved when he never believed me in first place or stood by me :\

Jay took it bad .. because his mum realy wanted to see mason even though she knew after abit everything cause jay wouldnt tell her :S but shes known for a while now .. but he stood by me quite abit didnt pay for him or owt.. but he did see mason every other month :\ hes gutted i think but i did tell him he shunt of saw mason till we knew 100% if he was or not ..
