I have a cough :( What can I do for it?

I have all these medicines for coughs but don't want to take them. Sorry if TMI but mine is a dry cough sometimes with phlegm, anyone got any natural remedies I can try?

warm water, honey garlic and ginger

I also have a cough at the moment and I swear by boiling some lemons in a pan of water and add some honey to it. it works for me. hope you feel better soon.

i have a shocking cough too, asked at the chemist, she said it was safe to take the glycerol/honey or blackcurrant mixes that are in boots or supermarkets, and sucking on hard sweets/pastilles was good for it too. hope you feel better soon, I really sympathise with you! If you dont even want to take those sorts of preparations, then I think honey and rest is best!
