First day taking bbt and it was 96.89 (orally) this morning is this normal?
the charts that the thermometer came with don't even go this low?
i had spotting from sunday to thursday and this is my first day charting.
So is there any way to tell what this means

Its normal, 96-97 is normal resting. If it rises and stays that way then you can test.

put ur temps in on fertilityfriend that way they will show u when u O etc, thats not to low at all ,dnt worry about it x

Just about right, find a BBT testing website where you can keep a chart, Fertility Friend is good or countdown to pregnancy which is the one I use. Make sure you try and take your temp around the same time each morning.

Good Luck to you :)

I have been charting for three days now and all my temp does is fluctuate between 96.76 and 96.9 if it doesn't go any higher what does that mean I mean can it really get any lower? This is so confusing!

What day are you? Do you have AF right now? Do you sleep with your mouth open? Everyone is different, but my pre O temps ranged from 96.5 to 97.33...Usually at 97.18. My post O temps ranged from 97.6 to 98.18. Mine depended a lot if my mouth had been open. It would literally change by a degree. If you feel that your temps are super low then maybe talk to your doctor about getting your thyroid checked. They say usually pre o temps are 97 - 97.7 and post o are about that, but different sites say different things. I would chart it on fertility friend to keep better track. Good luck!!

Yup just look at my chart... the last two days I have temped at 96.5 and 96.4... and it has been lower than that before. Every woman is different. Do remember though that different things affect it, like sleeping with your mouth open and/or external temperatures of the room and stuff. You need to temp at least 2 cycles to see a pattern.

Your temps before O don't really matter - they can be all over the place, it's after O that counts and tells you what's going on.

Also, what's a normal temp for one woman, might not be for another so you just have to work out what's normal for you.

i had blood tests and an ultrasound today they said that the lining of my uterous is so thick that my last 2 "cycles" that were just spotting was just break through bleeding so I haven't had a period since a year ago april. so i am on cd400ish lol. they also said that my thyroid levels are high so I have to go in in a week and get them rechecked.

fml

During my first cycle mine were that low (pre-o). It's normal. Now I temp vaginally.. What time are you testing?
