I hope you don't mind...TTC How often DTD?

Hi,

We have been trying to conceive for 15 months now and I am currently in my fertile window so I was wondering for those of you who are pregnant how often you DTD!

I have read best once every 2 days but when I am fertile I just think 'Lets go' lol

Any advice for those who have been successful would be greatly appreciated!

I would go for the LET's GO method!

If you look at my chart you can see we DTD every day around OV.

we did it 5 days before i ovulated once a day and about 2 or 3 days after i ovulated once a day. worked for us. we got pregnant our first try

It depends on your cycle (mine ranged from 21 to 44 days) and we were recommended to try from day 7 to day 30, and we conceived LO around day 10 of my June 2011 cycle (and LO is now sleeping in the other room) -- we had been trying for over two years post-mc, so I would suggest every other day from day 10 to day 20 (if you are 'regular, e.g. around 28 days)....

We BDd two days before I ovd. Thought we were out, but nope!

The month we conceived we did it the night before ovulation, the day of, and the day after. Maybe have a look in to the SMEP plan....it's every other night from CD till ov, then every day for 3/4 days

I TTC for 2 mths--have been very lucky

The first month we DTD day 7,8,9, 11, 13, and 15, I think I ovu about day 10!

The 2nd mth which I got my BFP in , we DTD days, 6,8,9,10,11,12,14 I must have ovul day 10 again as had BFP 11TH Feb on day 21 of my cycle!

So in a nut shell if you ovulating- go for it! you only have a 12-24 hr window and the sperm can live up to 5 days in there so get some in in advance of ovulation to be sure the little swimmers are there to meet your egg while its still fertile!

We did every other day. It seemed every day didn't get us anywhere. I think every couple is different.

For the 1st three months, we counted days, DTD every other day etc. Then, we decided to just have fun and that's when it happened. I know it's stressful and frustrating, but the moment you stop doing things methodically, you might be surprised.

We did it for 6 days. 4 leading up to O, day I O'd and day after. We used OPK's and Pre-seed the month I conceived. I swear by it. The other months we basically did the same thing but didn't use the pre-seed. It helps your CM be the right consistency for the sperm to travel to the egg. Good luck.

As soon as my cf started turning into ewcm (I usually have that for 4 days and the beginnings of it for 2 days), we dtd at least once a day, sometimes twice. We did skip a day in there, but it was a few days before O. We continued to do it at least once a day for a few days after O as well.

If your dh has a healthy sperm count, I say do it as much as you can.

We conceived last month. It took us 3 months to conceive. What we did that month is we dtd every other day 5 days before O on O and 5 days after. So, every other day for 11 days basically.

I just wanted to add not to give up. I know 15 months seems like a long time, but my dh and I have been through that. One child took 9 months, then we tried for almost two years the next time. I did wind up having a miscarriage that time, and didn't feel like trying right away. When I finally decided it only took about three months. I don't know why it took so long some of the times, and not much time at all the rest of the times, but it happens. I think the more relaxed both of you are, the better. Stressing out about it just seems to make it worse. Not saying that's what you are doing.

We because we missed each other after spending 4 days away from each other. We everyday at least twice a day for about 10 days in a row. The sperm quality is not affected if you do it often. In fact while we were trying, my gyno told me sex, sex and more lol he said do it ALL the time... sex is the only way you will fall pregnant and in his not so charming words..."rape him" lol (I know. How unprofessional is that?!)

Was also on clomid at the time but wasn't thinking about trying. We were away for holidays over xmas/nye and genuinely did it because we were horny. I wasn't tracking anything at the time, and low and behold, a after 2.5 years of trying
