I just heard my baby's heartbeat!

Really pointless thread but I've not had a scan or heard baby's heartbeat at all yet and last night I bled a little bit when I wiped so I've been super worried.

But.... today I went into town and bought a really crappy cheap doppler and have spent my last hour on my bathroom floor listening to my baby's heartbeat!

So so amazing! I couldn't bring myself to stop listening dad had to kick me out of the bathroom to use the shower haha!

I couldn't find mine yesterday but didn't panic as baby is still tiny but heard it tonight that faint it didn't register on my screen but still made me feel better you'll be addicted now xx

Aww, that's lovely. You can watch everyday as it gets stronger! my doppler is rubbish really. It doesn't even have a screen or tell you the heart rate. All I know is that there is one and that it's really fast. Still, so pleased to have found it!

Didn't even realize you could buy them and listen at home whenever you wanted. Oh well, congratulations I'm sure it is reassuring for you.

I hope that you told your doctor/midwife about the bleed, even if you need manage to pick up a heartbeat it will be better to be checked by a professional, just in case

I agree with this!

Hearing the heart is amazing though, I do miss it!

I think in hindsight, I just scratched myself as it was like a teeny bit of bright red blood (tmi alert) on one wall of my fandango for like two minutes before it stopped. I tried to tell my midwife anyway but she hasn't gotten back to me!

But yeah, it is amazing. I showed my boyfriend. He looked even more amazed than I did. And worried 'why is it so fast?!'

Just want my 12w scan now!
