The scan was really long. I ended up having to stop the sonographer as I went all dizzy and had to take a break and lie on my side. She said it was because of the baby cutting off the vein which passes blood back up to brain.

Anyway, the scan was great. Lady was lovely and we're team blue!!

Nautical theme nursery here we come!!

Congrats on team blue! And Ahhhh that's scary!! Always heard about the lying on your back thing, haven't ever heard anyone say it got to that point! Glad your okay!! :flower:

This happened to me too. It's weird it didn't happen when I was pregnant with my dd but this time, whew I got so light headed and dizzy and she had me lay on my left side and I felt better in just a few minutes.

Congrats on being team blue!

The same thing happened to me at my last two scans. I was sweating, almost sick and close to passing out. It happens after about 10 minutes with me.

I worried about the same thing happening to me or distressing the babies, as there are 2 in there the scans take twice as long. Welcome to team blue :happydance:

Congrats! :)
Have to say tho i've never got to the point where I cud pass out from laying on my back. I can do it all the way through. Maybe i'm strange & missing that vein? Lol :p congrats again xx

Did they have you on an incline so you weren't flat on your back? Sounds like a scary experience, but congrats on the healthy baby boy!

Congrats on team blue hun !
Hope your feeling better now :)

Emma

Wow. Congratulations on your bouncing baby boy.

Aw congratulations, I'm still not really affected by the whole 'laying on your back' thing, but I don't think it ever really affected me when I was pregnant with my DS either.
Must have been a bit scary!
