i need some school help

alright, so, let's try to put a more positive spin on this.
because i'm having amiserable day and there is no reaso for me to just mope about.
i could really use some help ont his research paper i'm doing, because i have no idea what i'm supposed to do
(we didn't really do any research papers in middle school, and i've homeschooled since)
so i haven't really learned how to properly do a research paper
anyway
i'm doing it on The Dust Bowl
and i have to find the positive and negative effects of it
positive being things like
new farming regulations being put in, minimum wage requirements being put in place, etc.
negatives being all the bad ways it affect the US, like, causing extreme overpopulation in western cities.
so basically, i'm asking for some input
because i really need to make a good grade on this.
so please help me out here?

Try and stay away from Wikipedia as the info can be edited by anyone therefore is not always correct, just what we were told from our teacher when I was doing my coursework Glad you finished xxxx

Start with a thesis statement in your opening paragraph
ex:
(The life of the typical college student is characterized by time spent studying, attending class, and socializing with peers.)
then the next 3 paragraphs would be about the dif topics in your thesis statement.
Ex:
-Paragraph 1 would be about studying
-Paragraph 2 would be about classes
-Paragraph 3 would be about socializing.

Then write a closing paragraph and you re-state your thesis statement but not the same way.
ex:
Original-The life of the typical college student is characterized by time spent studying, attending class, and socializing with peers.
Re-stated- Even though most of my time was spent studying and attending classes, I was still able to enjoy spending time with my friends on campus.

I usually do a 5 paragraph paper
1-Open
2-1st topic
3-2nd topic
4-3rd topic
5-Conclusion

wikipedia is alright if you just check the information that you have gotton from it and that it is cited. if it is it will have the book/article/web address at the bottom of the page
