I thought my Dr. had said to take my temp when I first wake up in the morning and not at a specific time every day. I was researching why my temps would be so off right now and realized that I've been taking them a little earlier most days and later a few days. Any ladies done this and had an effect on the accuracy of their charts. My temps have been low the last several days. HELP!

The best advice I can offer is to start tracking them accurately now but knowing that this cycle won't have the best indication of what your temps are. Although I don't temp now, I found the Fertility Friend guide excellent as well as the book Taking Control of your Fertility. Good luck!

I don't always take my temp at the same time every day but this next cycle I am setting an alarm. I always used to temp at 6:30am as I had to get up for work, then didn't worry about the weekends being a bit later, as it never seemed to make any difference.

This year I started to work freelance and temp taking times are ranging from 6am-8.30am. It hasn't actually made any difference to my charts as I still get an accurate ov day but this cycle FF changed my ov day THREE times! The third ov prediction was totally accurate but it was a lot of stress this cycle, getting excited when I first got the cross hairs, then disappointed when it moved it to a later date, then devastated when it moved the lines to a really late ov day (day 33). I don't think I've ever obsessed over a chart as much as I have done this cycle. Extra stress I don't need :dohh: So the alarm is being set for 8am every day now!

Good luck :)
