Well as some of you may have read my 5month old daughter is still very colicky/windy when she feeds.Well i think ive come to the conculsion that i could be making to much Fore milk and not enough Hind milk coz it takes ages for the let down reflex to come then i know she is getting the hind milk coz she does bigger stronger sucks then when shes getting the fore milk.So im wondering wheather expressing some milk off before each feed will help prehap? My new breast pump will be here this week coz i had a manuel one and coudnt get on with it so ive got a mini Medela electric pump coming.

I'm unsure myself (sorry). Logically though it would make sense to drain off some of the foremilk. However, the problem with that would be that your baby needs the foremilk as it's their thirst quenching drink (like water to us) and as you can't see how much foremilk is in your boob that could prove quite difficult. That's just my initial thought anyway

Hope you manage to get on well with the electric pump.
