Hi! I've been lurking for a bit but didn't want to thread jack anyone :)
I have a 4 year old, and my dude & I have been trying for almost 2 years and nada. I had a traumatic c section with my daughter- lots of hemmoraghing, I had to go back for a 2nd surgery immediately after coming out of my section, got 12 units of blood, was in ICU a few days etc. FUN!
Anyway, I had a lap in Oct to deal with scar tissue (there was a lot!!) and oh oops it turns out I only have 1 ovary (totally had 2 before, y'all) since then, still nothing. I am at the end of a 2ww, not optimistic, wondering when to call my gyn back.
I'm also having a super hard time bc my BFF, SIL, and several randos from fb are ALL PREGNANT RIGHT NOW. I'm happy for them, for real, but it still gives me the cries from time to time.
Anyway, any ideas on what I should be thinking about next? There's no fertility clinic in my area, and my state doesn't require insurance to cover infertility and naturally mine doesn't.
Thanks & hiiii!

Hi. I'm so sorry about your fertility struggles. I have a 3 1/2 year old and have been ttc #2 for almost two years. not sure if it makes me lucky or unlucky but I do know what my fertility problem is. so....WTH??? Where did your other ovary go??? Not thinking it just got up and walked off!
Does your gyn deal with infertility often? Of course I would suggest seeing a specialist but it doesn't sound like an option for you. My insurance doesn't cover infertility treatments but a workup for diagnosis is covered.
Do you know if you are ovulating? Are you temping or using OPKs? Are you sure all the scar tissue is removed?
It must be hard to see your SIL and BFF pregnant right now. What a frustrating time for you :hugs:

My ob deals with infertility, I'm just not sure when to call back? I'm old, so I'm thinking 6 months, so I'm going to give him a call next month. I'm also not sure how stuff is billed- my lap was done "for endometriosis"

Sorry! Seems like I can't edit- we're using the first response test strips- where you put them into the little machine? I can't think what it's called right now. We used it with my daughter and got pregnant on the first try.

I would say if you aren't sure go ahead and call sooner rather than later. Worst case is your dr. will just tell you to come back in a couple months. I hope you have success very soon!!

Thanks so much, you too! I called today, my appt isn't for a month, so I'm glad I did. Now I just need to take up an extremely consuming hobby so I can make it until then ;)

I know what you mean. Try starting a new book. Or a puzzle. If I'm not doing anything then I'm thinking about my cycle and if I'm going to get pregnant that month. Totally obsessed!
