We got engaged for chrimbo there and OH & I have been bouncing ideas back and forth about what we want to do for our wedding.
I am adamant that I want something small - really really small! OH on the other hand wants a bit of a party with all our friends but not a proper wedding.
Would it be asking too much to spread our wedding over two days??
I was thinking that we could have a really small wedding on say a Friday. Have only family and very close friends, 20-25 people in total, if even that. Have the ceremony and enjoy good food, wine and company after. Then OH & I could go off to a really romantic, fancy hotel that I've allllways wanted to stay in and enjoy some time on our own, enjoying our newly-wed-dom
Then the next night having a bit of a party for all our friends, playing music we want to listen to and maybe inviting the wider family also. There def will be NO abba megamix lol. They'll be lucky if they get a buffet!
I know my mum will hate this idea. She hates anything that is in anyway different and 'not normal'. I just wanted to bounce this off the ladies here before I told anyone else!
Venue is key so am in the midst of coming up with the perfect venue, but it will be a cosy, small, romantic, country restaurant for the wedding day and a cool, good vibe place for the party the next day...
