Ok so this is going to be hard to explain on here but I am going to try as it worries me sometimes. I don't have this all the time but sometimes (like now) I do.

So a few inches above my belly button, I have this dent that goes across my entire (top) stomach. It FEELS like the top of my uterus or something and the baby is down and isn't filling it all up if that makes sense. But I don't think that's what it is..that's just the only way I can describe it. I am going to see if I can get a pic of it even though it doesn't necessarily LOOK indented, I can just really feel it.

Does anyone know what I am talking about? Please say someone does :-/

It's hard to see but this is the best pic I could get:

Sorry, I didn't want to read and run but I really don't know, someone on here must have some idea though!?

idk why I am letting it get to me bad but it does

I did just listen to her HB with my doppler and it was a nice strong 160 range so I know baby is okay which helps ease my mind but this indent is just so odd. Maybe if I lay down or do some exercises it will go away.

It could be separation of your abdominal muscles which is common in pregnancy. Im obviously just taking a guess based in what you have described. You could try googleing muscle separation and see what you think? It's nothing to worry about tho! X

It looks like with muscle separation that it separates vertically. This is def horizontal.

Just reading it, my guess was Ab separation but I saw the pic and that's not what it is.. I don't know what could cause that. Ask your doc?

Could bub's back be facing your back? I have this same indent, glad I'm not the only one!, & read that if the baby is positioned back to back then it might create a kind of dip... I'm not sure of my baby's position, but that was the only thing that sounded remotely similar.... If you lay down, is it soft where it is indented or above? Maybe you could google that, sorry if I'm not much help...

No that does help Jessica. I have been looking into it all morning and I have a feeling that baby is back to back with me and I also think she is transverse which I think could maybe cause this dent because she WAS head down. I was just watching an inversion video because they say by now she should be either head down or breech- not transverse.

I think my little girl is in the same position, I feel movements on both left and right sides. I'm not very worried about her position right now, however, as she has time to head back down. Is it so bad to be transverse at this point?

No I don't think it's bad at all as they have a lot of time to move still..the site just said that after 31 weeks baby SHOULD be breech or head down...not sure why transverse isn't "ok"......I will read more on it now and let you know

Here is the site:
https://www.spinningbabies.com/baby-positions/all-positions/sideways

But I don't see why anywhere?

What I got from the site is that a breech baby is vertical and transverse is horizontal. While a breech baby can be delivered vaginally, there is no way for a transverse baby to fit through the canal at all. So that is why it's a problem

Which makes complete sense but baby can still move now so not sure why they say after 30 weeks..maybe just to kind of get things moving (the exercises I mean)
