If you have changed your lo formula can I ask you these questions

1) what made you change formula/what symptoms your lo was showing
2) what formula was you on and what did you change to?
3) was you advised to change formula by a dr or hv or did you choose to
4) has your lo improved by changing formula's

Im not really sure if I should change the formula my lo is on so would love to know your responses to these question pls x

1) what made you change formula/what symptoms your lo was showing
Omar was suffering frm reflux & colic

2) what formula was you on and what did you change to?
Nestle Quiqose, & NAN gold, Aptamil comfort & Semilac comfort. Then we tried Aptamil AR & it's what worked for him

3) was you advised to change formula by a dr or hv or did you choose to
Only when we switched to Semilac comfort. We dont get much support with formula here

4) has your lo improved by changing formula's
Yes. It really helped with his reflux

1) Very windy, had bad colic, constantly arching back when being fed and very nasty nappies!
2) We were on C&G Comfort now on SMA LF
3) HV, THANK GOD
4) after 2 days of being on this formula lo was a different baby, took all of his bottle, winded easily, didnt fight throughout feed and NO MORE COLIC!

What makes you think you should change formula?

1. Abi was showing signs of bad colic and had constant diarhoea and trapped wind.

2&3. We started on C&G then changed to Comfort on advice of HV but that made it ten times worse so back to HV who sent us to docs who put her on a 2 week trial of nutramigen for suspected lactose intolerance.

4. She was like a different baby, even after the first bottle she seemed a lot happier and settled in herself. We've been told to keep her on this milk now til we can try reintroducing milk products after we've weaned her at 6months.

i changed the babies milk becausethey seem to be keep wanting more whenever we fed them,so we took them off c and g 1 and put themon stage 2 they are now on 5oz each feed and sleeping pretty much of the night x

If you have changed your lo formula can I ask you these questions

1) what made you change formula/what symptoms your lo was showing
She was a hungry baby, eating every two hours on the dot and still not satisfied.

2) what formula was you on and what did you change to?
Hipp infant formula to Cow and Gate hungry baby (Hipp at the time did not offer a hungy baby food like they do now)

3) was you advised to change formula by a dr or hv or did you choose to
It was our choice, mainly mine.

4) has your lo improved by changing formula's
Yes she did.

Thank you for your response's, so far this is what we have done. First she was on infacol as she was a very windy baby and always had trouble bringing it up, this made a slight improverment, then we changed bottles from tt to dr browns as she seemed to be taking in to much air from the tt ones. Once the infacol stopped working we then went on to the gripe water which is still working fine. Then she started screaming through feeds, arching back etc and was told this was reflux so the dr has given us gaviscon which is helping. But now she seems the only way she can poo is either while drinking her milk, screaming to force it out or you rubbing her belly, so im not sure whether to change her milk as she seems such an unhappy baby right now.

It's the gaviscon! My lo is on it to and unfortunatly it stops suck but it also stops poo! Try giving her cooled boiled water. If that doesn't work try mixing water with prune juice. It may only work for a while. We now have to give my lo lactolose (sp?). :(

1) what made you change formula/what symptoms your lo was showing
He was constipated and had been diagnosed (sp) with reflux
2) what formula was you on and what did you change to?
we were on SMA gold and changed to Cow & Gate Comfort
3) was you advised to change formula by a dr or hv or did you choose to
I choose to..HV said sma was notorious for constipation and to change to a hungrier baby milk because it would be thicker for his reflux but i seen C&G comfort and thought that would be ideal
4) has your lo improved by changing formula's
100% leaps and bounds he poos at least once per day and with gaviscon 9 outta 10 his reflux is pretty much kept at bay

Just read the rest of your post my HV said after i told her what i had changed to that actually it was ideal to use comfort formula with gaviscon because the reduced lactose in the comfort formula helps to reduce the constipation caused by gaviscon also if he was having problems to put a tiny bit of pure orange juice in cooled boiled water xx
