If you have had a prem baby the first time round, does it mean the second would be prem too?

I was 6 weeks prem when I was born (must run in the family lol). My first, Holly, was 2 weeks early but an ok size (7lb).

Not necessarily. Do you know why your baby was premature? Prematurity doesn't run in the family.

2 weeks early isnt really classed as a prem baby . anything after 37 weeks is classed as full term. so im sure u will be fine xx.

Oh cool. I didn't think 2 weeks early was prem either but the MW's said it was. Holly had heart trouble but this wasn't picked up on till after the labour.

My DD was 2 weeks early but so far this little one looks like he will be here on time/late as i only have 9days to go and no signs yet!

One of mine is a 33 weeker but with this one I'm 38+1 so far with no sign of labour starting.

i have had mine, 9 days late ,2 days late,on time,1 week early,2 days early,2 weeks early ,1 week early,1 week early and 12 days late ,so i wouldnt worry too much dont really think it follows a pattern.xx
